The rules of the kitchen.

By creating an account, booking a demo that provisions a workspace, or otherwise accessing Servio, you confirm you have read and accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Servio is a restaurant operating platform. Depending on your plan it may include a menu builder, QR ordering and a guest app, a kitchen display system (KDS), an admin console with inventory and reservations, and AI tools that help you write dishes, flag allergens and estimate nutrition.

We may add, change or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing functionality you actively rely on. The service is provided as software-as-a-service; you do not need to buy hardware to use it.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for the activity of every staff member you invite, and for keeping login credentials secure. Tell us promptly at hello@servio.rest if you suspect unauthorised access.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. AI features run on a credit allowance included with your plan; you may top up credits as needed. Prices are shown excluding VAT unless stated.

• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.
• Unused monthly credits expire at the end of each cycle; topped-up credits roll over for 12 months.
• You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:

• Publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content, or list items you are not licensed to sell.
• Attempt to breach security, reverse-engineer, or resell the platform without permission.
• Rely solely on AI output for legally required allergen or nutrition disclosures (see §7).

You own your menus, photos, recipes and other content you upload. You grant Servio a limited licence to host, display and process that content solely to operate the service for you — including showing it to your guests and passing it to AI tools you choose to run. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

The Servio platform, brand, and underlying software remain our property. Output the AI generates from your inputs (dish copy, tags, estimates) belongs to you once accepted. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage statistics to improve the service.

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Servio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted per our retention schedule.

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cluj-Napoca, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.

For data about our direct customers and their staff, Servio is the data controller. For guest data that a restaurant collects through Servio (orders, allergy notes), the restaurant is the controller and Servio acts as a processor on its behalf under a data-processing agreement.

• Account data — name, business name, email, phone, billing details of restaurant staff.
• Operational data — menus, orders, reservations, inventory and KDS activity you create.
• Guest data — order contents, table, optional contact details and any allergy or dietary notes a guest provides.
• Technical data — device, IP, and usage logs needed to run and secure the service.

We process data to deliver the service (performance of contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), to bill you and meet tax obligations (legal obligation), and for marketing only where you have consented. Allergy and dietary notes are handled solely to fulfil the guest's order.

When you use AI features, the relevant menu text or image is sent to our AI sub-processors to generate the result. We do not send guest contact details to AI providers, and your content is not used to train third-party foundation models. AI sub-processors are bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.

We never sell personal data. We share it only with vetted sub-processors who help us run Servio — cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery and AI inference — each under a data-processing agreement. We may disclose data where legally required.

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and the app working. Analytics and any marketing cookies load only after you consent via our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Order and guest data is retained according to your restaurant's settings; account and billing records are kept as long as legally required (typically for tax purposes). On account closure, data is deleted or anonymised after a 30-day grace period.

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we maintain procedures to detect, contain and notify you of any breach affecting your data without undue delay.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us below — guests should contact the restaurant first, and we will assist as processor. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority (in Romania, the ANSPDCP).

We host data within the EU where possible. Where a sub-processor is outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
